Hinder: "All American Nightmare"

The third studio album from the sexually laden Oklahoma group is much of what you would expect. With here's a bottle of Jagermeister and a bong type lyrics that as you would expect have their sex drive included. This is what we have come to expect from the Hinder boys since they crashed onto the scene in 2006 with "Extreme Behavior" that included the songs "Get Stoned" and "Lips of An Angel". While this is by far the best album Hinder has released as a whole can they reach the fame from the first album thanks to "Lips of an Angel". I'm afraid not. Hinder has slowly faded from the rock fans eye and will take a lot more than Austin Winkler screaming "I'm the All American Nightmare" for fans to catch the love for this band again.

The opening track "2 Sides of Me" really brings you into the album and makes you immediately reach to crank up your stereos volume. This song while filled with sexual tendencies like "I'm gonna love you all night long" really turns itself into one of the best tracks due to the instrumentals.

I did not agree very much with having "All American Nightmare" and the ballad "Whatcha Gonna Do" back to back on this record. While AAN really brings out the home down country boy side of Himder, Whatcha Gonna Do doesn't really make sense as the song is about losing the one you love. Let's be real these guys are 26-29 years old. They haven't learned the ways of life to have a song like this, yet it will be a top 10 rock charts single.

The very popish yet awesome track "Hey Ho" throws a big middle finger into the air if teenage girls who think rap and hip hop is real music while spitting on names like Kanye West and Lil Wayne.

"Waking Up The Devil" is the best track on the album hands down. It grans you from the start with the opening riff and Sustin simply let's his dirty down south raspy rock n roll voice run wild on this song and it blows anything on this record out of the water.

"Striptease" is going to be the song when you walk into the strip club is being played while soccer moms and unloved teen girls strip down to nothing. While the lyrics don't point fingers like "Hey Ho" this is a big fuck you to the pop divas who while musically sucking ass become famous for their sexy bodies.

When I first heard "Put That Record On" I knew this song would be a single and most likely will peak at #1 on the rock charts. It is a salute to bands like the Rolling Stones, Bob Segar, Ozzy and ACDC as they were the inspiration for Hinsers awesome track to close the album.

So overall this album doesn't need the skip button used at all, it'll keep you interested throughout and you may find a couple songs you grow to love. The album will most likely reach Gold on billboard charts and if they can get some luck it may go Platinum. We here at Rock Review give Hinder's "All American Nightmare" 3.5 of 5 stars.
